Preventing Application Delays

  1. Submit a complete 9-page application with a copy of your application fee transaction.
  2. Have your AMCA product scope offerings on your website with an image and brief description.
  3. Prepare to have an informal site visit within 55 days of applicant submission.
  4. Pay invoices upon receipt.

Application Process

To apply for membership with the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International, follow these steps:

    1. Determine Eligibility and Membership Type:
      • Ensure your company designs, fabricates, assembles, and sells products within AMCA's scope, such as fans, ventilators, dampers, and louvers.
      • Decide whether to apply as a Member or Affiliate:
        • Member: Companies interested in full participation, including voting rights and access to all member benefits.
        • Affiliate: Companies focusing primarily on certification testing without full membership privileges.
    2. Prepare Application Materials:
      • Complete the appropriate 9-page application form:
      • Gather supporting documents:
        • Company brochures, catalogs, or product specification sheets.
        • Report on the sales value of products under the AMCA scope.
        • Signed application agreement.
        • Signed Code of Ethics form.
        • Signed Nondisclosure Agreement.
        • Completed personnel contact list.

      • Verification (Day 10): AMCA reviews and verifies the submitted documentation.
      • Financial Evaluation (Day 10): AMCA conducts a financial risk assessment.
      • Site Visit (Day 55): An informal visit to your manufacturing facility is scheduled to document AMCA-scoped products.
      • Board Vote (Day 75): The AMCA Board of Directors votes on your application.
      • Approval Notification (Day 95): If approved, AMCA notifies you and issues an invoice for membership dues.
      • Access Granted (Day 125): Upon payment, you gain access to AMCA resources and certification enrollment information.
