ANSI/AMCA Standard 214-21 | Test Procedure for Calculating Fan Energy Index (FEI) for Commercial and Industrial Fans and Blowers
The purpose of this standard is to aid federal and state rulemaking efforts to establish energy-efficiency standards for commercial and industrial fans and blowers, providing a consistent method of calculating FEI across the many different options in the fan market.

Proposed Change: Axial panel fan: An axial fan, without a cylindrical housing, that includes a panel, orifice plate or ring with brackets for mounting through a wall, ceiling, or other structure that separates the fan’s inlet for its outlet. Note: these fans are tested using AMCA 210 or ISO 5801.
