The AMCA 240 Standard was created in 1996 for the testing and certification of mobile Positive Pressure Ventilators (PPVs) used by the firefighting industry. In this AMCA insite webinar we will look at the progression of air movement in the firefighting industry. We will also look at how the updated 240 Standard incorporates Battery Operated PPV testing. The increase in power density and current draw provided by lithium ion battery packs have allowed Battery Operated PPVs to become effective in fire ground operations. AMCA now allows a slight variant on the already familiar 240 Standard to keep up with the boom of Battery Operated PPVs.
