What is the key benefit for your company from your association with AMCA?
One of the benefits is that AMCA is the only active fan association with a clear mission to support the fan industry globally. In addition, it is beneficial for our industry that with the AMCA-certified rated product program, an identical global standard for fan performance is set.
What is the key benefit for you personally from your association with AMCA?
To meet fan experts from all over the world and work together for our industry's future. Setting the proper standards and develop together strategies to make our products more efficient and sustainable will be one of our future needs. I am proud to be part of this association and can support such important targets.
How do you see AMCA changing in the future?
AMCA is becoming a more global association. Especially our decision to encourage more independent regions, as we have in Europe with EU AMCA. It is the right step for all fan manufacturers in the world. The evolution from the former US-based into a global association for fan manufacturers is occurring, and decisions by our regions will allow further membership growth and strengthen the leadership position of AMCA.
What are your words of advice for upcoming/younger employees of AMCA member companies?
I will invite all young employees—men and women—to participate with AMCA when and where they can do it. The work on standards and advocacy topics gets more and more critical. We have seen this vividly in the last 20 years. It is an excellent opportunity to work with people from other companies or regions; you get an authentic inside look into our industry. Never stop learning in your business life, like I have done these past 40 years. AMCA is a perfect opportunity for a better understanding of technical or personal behavior in our area.
General observations or thoughts about AMCA International?
I can only say AMCA is successful through the contributions of its members. I want to add my appreciation for all the professional work of the AMCA employees. They do an excellent job and build the base for the work in the working groups and the regions. Without their support and clear working structure, we could not be as successful as we are as a global association today.
